Flur is the meeting of harpist Miriam Adefris, saxophonist Isaac Robertson and percussionist Dillon Harrison. They first met at university in 2022 while all studying separate music courses. Immersed in the explorative London music scene, the trio played together in various different formations before coalescing as Flur.
In September 2025, their debut album Plunge was released with Paris-based label Latency. Shaped between Riverside Recording Studios and a South Bermondsey warehouse, Plunge captures the trio’s first steps, moving between written passages and intuitive improvisation.
"Throughout Plunge, their spellbinding debut, there are stretches of time where each player operates at their own speed, pulling notes from their instruments as instinct dictates. They flicker around one another, drawing closer until they fuse in harmolodic structure, only to peel off into their own respective orbits." - Pitchfork 2025
"... the group produce a distinctly off-kilter take on the harp combo, harnessing the lushness of its sound as a counterpoint to angular melodies and textural rhythm." - The Guardian 2025
"You can completely lose yourself, drift away, and relax in a meditative way – or listen attentively and discover the subtle richness of detail in this intricate music." - taz 2025
